VITA Coordinator

As a VITA Coordinator, Rosa is committed to serving Low-to-Moderate Income households in the greater Los Angeles area by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring clients access to VITA’s free tax preparation services which provides financial relief to vulnerable populations.

Having lived in South Central Los Angeles for over 18 years, Rosa is deeply familiar with the challenges families face, especially around financial stability, mental health, and physical well-being. As a first-generation American with a father who is from Mexico and a mother who is from El Salvador, Rosa takes pride in her diverse cultural roots and values the importance of community, inclusivity, and social equity. Rosa's work is driven by her strong empathy and commitment to social justice. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with a minor in Cognitive Science) from UC Merced, she committed her professional journey to working with community impact nonprofits, including City Year (Americorps), LAPL, Aviva Family and Children’s Services, and Family Source Center (CIFD). A passionate advocate for marginalized communities, Rosa is dedicated to making a positive, lasting impact in the lives of those she serves.
