Haven Services Launches “Santa Monica for All” to Support Families Affected by Immigration Raids

Santa Monica, CA — In response to recent immigration enforcement actions (taking place throughout Santa Monica on October 17 and November 18) that have disrupted families and workplaces across Santa Monica, Haven Services today announced the launch of Santa Monica for All, an emergency initiative providing direct cash aid and community-based support to local workers affected by the raids.

The fund aims to offer immediate financial relief and connect impacted families with trusted local organizations providing housing assistance, food access, legal aid, and mental health support.

“Our community is reeling,” said Erika Toriz, CEO of Haven Services. “These enforcement actions have left hardworking families facing the impossible choice between their livelihoods and their loved ones. The Santa Monica for All Fund is our way of saying: you are not alone — we will stand together through this.”

The initiative was first inspired by Haven’s financial coach, Angel Morales, who witnessed the aftermath of the raids firsthand while providing coaching services to workers in Santa Monica.

“I spoke with people who didn’t know if it was safe to go to work the next day,” Morales said. “Families are frightened, but they’re also resilient.

This fund is about meeting fear with compassion, and showing that Santa Monica takes care of its own.”

Haven Services has already distributed over $75,000 in direct aid to residents of Santa Monica who have been affected by this brutal enforcement. Now we are turning to our community to provide support for the workers who support this vibrant city. We have set out an ambitious goal to raise $100,000 to kick off this campaign.

Haven Services is partnering with agencies and community groups across the city to coordinate outreach, distribute funds safely, and ensure families can access the support they need without risk.

The organization is inviting the broader community to participate in three key ways:

  • Donate: Contribute directly to the Santa Monica for All Fund to provide immediate financial relief.
  • Santa Monica for AllShare: Help spread the word to reach those in need and raise community awareness.
  • Partner: Partner with Haven to offer services, resources, or time to affected families.

Residents in need of assistance can access confidential support and apply for aid through santamonica4all.org.

“This is not just a response to a crisis,” said Toriz. “It’s an affirmation of who we are: a community rooted in care, dignity, and solidarity.”
