As a professional, I have been in the banking industry for over 30 years. Currently, I am a Senior Vice President, Director of Community Development, and Community Reinvestment Act Officer at Royal Business Bank (RBB). This role enables me to continue my passion in helping undeserved families/communities. I have spearheaded the development of products and services that have made significant impact to low-income individuals and families. Products for first time home-buyers, making the dream of owning a home possible and small businesses; helping entrepreneurs start a business and bring it to fruition. My bank continues to focus on distressed areas by investing over $32 million in Affordable Housing, Economic Development, and Community Services. In addition, my bank has implemented scholarship programs allowing low-income youth to pursue a higher education; breaking that cycle of poverty. I have led the RBB team to accomplish over 10,000 volunteer hours in a 3-year period by providing free tax services, conducting financial education workshops such as 1st Time Homeownership events, Access to Capital for Small Business, and Money Saving classes to youth.
